Although the Cougars lost to Colorado this past week, all is not lost for the Cougars as they have a lot more to play for. This coming week, the Cougars will face off against Washington and the winner of that game will win the Pac-12 North division. A Wazzu win would add one shakeup to the College Football Playoff and knock Washington all the way down to a possible at-large bid into the New Year’s Six. Even if the razor-thin hopes to reach the College Football Playoff are gone, Washington State can still do more damage to their longtime rival.

Like Washington State, Nebraska has a lot to play for in the final week of their regular season. If they can win on the road at Iowa and hope Wisconsin falls to Minnesota then it will be Nebraska in the Big Ten Championship Game as the champion of the the West division. Their 28-7 win over Maryland what was expected but the highlight of the contest was the Cornhuskers paying tribute in touching fashion to punter Sam Foltz who was killed in a car accident during the summer. Foltz would’ve been a senior this season.
