6-4. Previous: . Atlanta Falcons. 8. team. 44. Atlanta gets an opportunity to rest and collect itself after a tough loss on the road in Philadelphia. Matt Ryan, who could not pull out the victory in his hometown, continues to look like an MVP candidate. He sits second in the NFL in passing yards by a wide margin, and his favorite target Julio Jones leads active receivers in receiving yards by nearly 300 yards. At running back, they’ve developed a two-headed monster led by Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman. Defensively the Falcons still need to figure some things out, but the franchise is headed in the right direction.
Next Week: Ryan and the Falcons host the Arizona Cardinals next week, who are coming off a close loss in Minnesota. Bruce Arians has not had the success in Arizona may expected this season, but they are sure to give the Falcons a run for their money.

Playoff hopes: Atlanta controls their own destiny sitting atop the NFC South. Tampa Bay’s win against the Chiefs moves the Buccaneers to within one game of the division lead. The two teams have already played twice, and split the series evenly. Atlanta will play four of their last six games at home, giving them a strong advantage.
