High Salary SF

LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers (9,800): LeBron should be very well-rested coming into tonight’s matchup agaisnt Portland which is a scary thing for the Blazers and a great thing for owners of “The King.” James rested last Wednesday against the Pacers after posting 28-9-14 for 56.8 fantasy points against the Raptors. He then only had to play 28 minute sin the Cavs rout of the Pistons on Friday and has had the last four days off. Aside from that 29.1-fatnas-point game against Detroit, James has been extremely reliable this season due to his averaging a career-high nine assist and 8.4 rebounds. He had at least 41 fantasy points in eight straight before virtually taking the last week off. He should be rested and ready for 50+ fantasy points against the Blazers tonight in Cleveland. ∗∗

Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (8,500): Kawhi has been steady lately as well with at least 37 fantasy points in four straight games and over 40 in three of those four. He had 24-9-4 against the Mavericks on Monday after 23-12-7 against the Lakers last Friday. He and the Spurs are headed to Charlotte tonight where they’ll face the Hornets. Kawhi is a safe way to invest your salary tonight since he deliver 40 fantasy points almost every night with the upside of over 50 fantasy points if he goes off.

Rudy Gay-Sacramento Kings (7,200): If you are looking for the same kind of 40+ fantasy point upside for less than 8K, Rudy Gay definitely can deliver although he’s much riskier than Kawhi or LeBron. Gay had 43.8 fantasy points in his last game against the Raptors on 23-9-4. He also had a huge game with 29-14-3 last week against the Blazers for 50.3 fantasy points. He has over 40 fantasy points in three of his last six, but he has also been held under 20 fantasy points in two of those contests. His two “down” games were against the Spurs an Clippers, though, so he should be able to produce against the Thunder who have struggled to defend bigger wings this season. There have actually been Gay to OKC trade rumors, so he’ll look to make an impression tonight.

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (7,100): After a few games struggling with his shot, Hayward bounced back against the Nuggets on Sunday with 25-7-2 to get to 33.4 fantasy points. He has over 33 fantasy points in five of his last eight games and is averaging 33.4 fantasy points per contest since returning from injury. Tonight, he gets another matchup with the Nuggets but this time at home where he should be able to approach 40 fantasy points. He’s a little safer than Rudy Gay, but he also doesn’t have quite as high a ceiling.

Harrison Barnes-Dallas Mavericks (6,000): With all the Mavs’ injuries, Barnes has been playing an insane amount of minutes. He has logged 39 minutes or more in three of his last four games and five of his last eight. He played 42 minutes on Monday against San Antonio and had 20-9-1 despite having to contend with Kawhi. He has been able to produce at least 26 fantasy points in  eight of his last nine games with five games over 30 fantasy points during that timespan. If Dirk remains sidelined tonight, Barnes will again be in line for a lot of offensive workload making him a solid option to consider at 6K.
