High Value SG

Victor Oladipo-Oklahoma City Thunder (5,900): Last night, Oladipo played a team-high 39 minutes in the Thunder’s loss to the Lakers finishing with 27.8 fantasy points on 14-4-4 with a block and two steals. He has at least 27 fantasy points in four straight now dating back to his 49.5-fantasy-point breakout last Wednesday against the Rockets. Tonight, he’ll be in a good matchup against Sacramento, and I think he’s worth a look even though he i playingg on the second night of a back-to-back.∗∗

Rodney Hood-Utah Jazz (5,600): Hood has been a consistent contributor for the Jazz this season and is worth a look tonight against the Nuggets who have given up more fantasy points pre game to opposing SG than any other team in the NBA. Hood only had 10-5-2 against them on Sunday for just 20 fantasy points, but he had posted over 24 fantasy points in eight of his previous ten games. I think back at home he’ll give a nice return on this price tag tonight.

Dion Waiters-Miami Heat (5,200): Waiters is playing through a groin injury, but he is playing extremely well and will try to get on the court again tonight for Miami. He has at least 16 points in four of his last five games and has added enough rebounds and assists to get to 32 fantasy points in each of those four contests. Tonight, he and Miami face the Pistons in Detroit. I keep waiting for the Waiters collapse to happen, but so far he’s been able to keep it up. He’s still risky, but if you can get 30 fantasy points for someone at around 5K you’ll be doing well at a uncertain SG spot.

Lou Williams-Los Angeles Lakers (5,100): Even with D’Angelo Russell out last night, Williams only ended up playing 23 minutes. He did have 13 points and five assists for 21.7 fantasy points, but failed to get any extra playing time since Nick Young and Jose Calderon picked up a lot of the minutes. Williams is still a good play tonight against the Warriors although coach Luke Walton has definitely shown he will stick with the hot hand in his guard rotation. The last time the Lakers took on Golden State, Williams had that hot hand and totaled 34.4 fantasy points on 20-2-4 with three steals.∗∗∗

Jordan Clarkson-Los Angeles Lakers (4,900): Another option from the Lakers backcourt to consider is Jordan Clarkson who had 34.6 fantasy points last night against the Thunder on 18-3-4 with four steals giving him at least 29 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He’s still risky baed on the 11.9 fantasy points he had in the other contest in his last four and the 20.7 fantasy points he had against Golden State the first time the teams played. Still, he offers a higher ceiling than Williams and is a solid investment at under 5K tongiht. ∗∗∗

Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (4,700): Curry’s value depends largely on who else is ready to play tonight for the Mavericks. Deron Williams, Andrew Bogut, and Dirk Nowitzki are all hopeful to play tonight aginst LA, but I’m guessing Williams will need a little more time before returning from his calf injury. If Curry gets the start tonight, he’ll look to build on his best game since entering the lineup when Williams and J.J. Barea went down. Curry had 23-2-4 against the spurs for 29.4 fantasy points on Monday, and he’ll play a ton of minutes if Williams is unable to return tonight. No D-Will-∗∗ With Williams

Josh Richardson-Miami Heat (4,300): Richardson was awful on Monday shooting just 1-11 and finishing with four points and 11.9 fantasy points in what should have been a great matchup against the 76ers. His coach has confidence in him, though, and said he wants him to keep shooting. He had 22+ fantasy points in four of his previous five games before his letdown Monday, so it may be time to have a short memory and get J-Rich back in the lineup tonight for a bounce-back game against the Pistons. He should keep his minutes with Justise Winslow already ruled out for tonight’s matchup.∗∗

Nick Young-Los Angeles Lakers (4,200): Swaggy P hit the game winner last night over the Thunder and finished with 17 points in 29 minutes for a total of 21.9 fantasy points. He has scored at least 15 points in each of his last three games and seven of his last nine. He’s actually a pretty solid play at this price since he has over 20 fantasy points in nine of his last 12 games including the 20.6 he had against tonight’s opponent, Golden State. ∗∗∗∗
