High Salary SG

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (10,100): The Bucks got a huge game from “The Alphabet” in their last game which was on Monday against the Magic. He finished with 21-10-10 while also adding five steals and three blocks to get all the way to 60 fantasy points. He has at least 45 fantasy points in four of his last five, but his price has been on the rise as well meaning he’ll have to produce at or near a triple-double against the Raptors tonight to be worth this expense. Toronto has been good at defending opposing guards, so he’s a risky option despite his infinite ceiling tonight in Milwaukee against the Raptors.

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,500): McCollum gets a good matchup against the Pelicans tonight who are in the top ten in most fantasy points per game allowed to opposing SG. He comes in without much momentum, though, after scoring just 13 points against the Cavs on Wednesday. Prior to that contest, he had over 31 fantasy points in seven of his previous ten games, but his scoring is somewhat dependent on how well Damian Lillard plays. When Lillard goes off like he did on Wednesday, McCollum sometimes can fade into the background making him an expensive  player who carries some pretty significant risk for a upper-mid-level salary.

Bradley Beal-Washington Wizards (6,300): When Beal has been healthy he has been very good for the Wizards, and I’m surprised his price hasn’t climbed more than it already has. Beal has played 40 minutes in each of the last two games for the Wizards since having his minutes restrictions lifted and he has 45 and 45.8 fantasy points in those two games. He scored a then-season-high of 34 points on Saturday against Miami and followed that with 42 points on Monday against the Suns. Since the Wizards were one of just four teams with Wednesday off, they haven’t played since that contest on Monday, so they should be well-rested as they head to Orlando.∗∗

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (6,200): Batum is a solid and well-balanced contributor when he’s at his best and can give you 40 or so fantasy points. He has started the week with a few down games, though, finishing with only 19.3 fantasy points on Monday and 23.9 fantasy points on Wednesday. He gets a great matchup tonight against the Knicks who are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing SG, but his last few games haven’t been Batum’s best.
