High Value PG

Tim Frazier-New Orleans Pelicans (5,600): Even with the return of Jrue Holiday, Frazier has managed to keep some fantasy value. He has played at least 32 minutes in each of his last five games while posting at least seven assists and 11 points. His last two games have been uncharacteristically turnover-prone, but he has still managed at least 26 fantasy points in four of his last five. Tonight, he’ll get a good matchup against Dallas’s backcourt which is still playing with limitations due to their early-season rash of injuries.

Dennis Schroder-Atlanta Hawks (55300): Schroder has been up and down all season and has continued his fantasy inconsistency over his last few games. He has over 27 fantasy points in two of his last three games but also has been held under 21 fantasy points three times in his last five. He’s in a good matchup against the Lakers without D’Angelo Russell, but he’s still a risky investment for tonight.

Darren Collison-Sacramento Kings (5,300): The Nets have been the worst team in the NBA against opposing PG, so Collison should be able to put up a high number tonight in Brooklyn. Since returning from his suspension, Collison has at least  25 fantasy points in five of his eight games. His best fantasy game was when he had 15 points, nine assists, and two steals for 2.5 fantasy points last Sunday. His matchup is a great one, though, tonight, and I think he’ll set a new season-high for fantasy points tonight which would make him a solid 5K value. ∗∗

Patrick Beverley-Houston Rockets (4,400): Beverley has gotten a lot of run in his last two games playing 35 minutes on Wednesday against Toronto and totaling 31 fantasy points on 10-10-4. He followed that with 29.25 fantasy points on Friday in Sacramento with 7-7-6 and a pair of steals. Since he still costs under 5K, he’ll be a steal if he keeps producing in multiple categories.

D.J. Augustin-Orlando Magic (3,300): Augustin is playing a lot of minutes for the Magic as they try to give their young players some veteran leadership on the floor. He has played 20+ minutes in three of his last four and has posted over 13 fantasy points in four of his last five games including a 29-fantasy-point game against the Mavericks. While I wouldn’t advise punting a PG spot tonight, Augustin would be my top pick at just above the minimum if you have to.
