QB. Clemson. Deshaun Watson. 13. player. 53.

The Cleveland Browns will pick twice in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, and they just may take a swing at Deshaun Watson with the thirteenth pick. Watson has been star during his time with the Clemson Tigers, but he has shown the propensity to throw interceptions this season. He has made some bad decisions this season for the Tigers, which has proven to be pretty alarming to some scouts.

Some believe Watson is a second-round talent, but knowing the Browns, they are going to try and grab a quarterback in the first round. While I personally do not think that is smart, it is just the way of business around the organization, which has been dreadful since league awarded Cleveland a franchise after Art Modell move the team to Baltimore. Watson may end up being a home run, or he could just be another in a long line of failed first round quarterbacks for Cleveland.

Watching them on Sunday, it is clear they have some nice parts on offense. Terrell Pryor Sr. is an absolute star, and Isaiah Crowell runs the ball hard. Watson does have the tools to make it at the next level, but he is going to need a year or two before he is ready to lead a franchise. Cleveland made a mistake thrusting Johnny Manziel into the starting role after taking him in the first round, so let’s hope they do not make that mistake again.
