High Value PG

Dennis Schroder-Atlanta Hawks (5,900): While Atlanta continues to have problems with defending opposing PG, at least they’re getting good fantasy production out of their own starting guard Dennis Schroder. Schroder had one of his best games of the season on Monday against Golden State finishing with 38.25 fantasy points on 24-1-6. He has been inconsistent this year, but he has managed 27 fantasy points or more in each of his last three games and four of his last five. He’s in a good matchup to attack against the Suns who are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing PG, but he’s higher risk than any of the options on the first page of PG picks.

Darren Collison-Sacramento Kings (5,300): Collison gets a good matchup against the 76ers tonight as he continues to settle in as the Kings starting PG after serving his season-opening suspension. He has at least 20 fantasy points in each of his last nine games with five games of at least 25 fantasy points during that stretch. Until last game’s 2-6 shooting, he had been pretty efficient with his scoring, and he’ll look to return to that level of production making him worth a look at just over 5K tonight.

Jamal Murray-Denver Nuggets (4,500): The Heat have been wiped out by injury over the last few days leaving them very short-handed for their road trip which starts tonight in Denver. One guard who could try to take advantage of their injury depletion is standout rookie Jamal Murray. Murray had run off four straight games with at least 30 fantasy points before cooling off a little on Sunday when he managed just 17 on 9-4-2 while struggling with foul trouble. With Garry Harris out and Will Barton still banged up, Murray has lots of potential to post a big number tonight back at home in Denver where most of his better totals have come. He’s a boom-or-bust play unless he’s in the starting lineup, but coming off the bench there is still a lot of upside to like. ∗∗∗

Sergio Rodriguez-Philadlephia 76ers (4,300): Rodriguez posted two nice games against the Cavs and Raptors while filling in for the injured-again Jerryd Bayless. Rodriguez had 12-2-7 for 29 fantasy points on Sunday and followed that with 11-3-7 for 28.25 fantasy points on Monday night. If Bayless returns, Rodriguez will be extremely risky, but he will end up a good value if Bayless is out or limited. Bayless back-∗ No Bayless-

Andrew Harrison-Memphis Grizzlies (4,000): The Grizzlies are searching for a PG after Mike Conley’s major injury. With Conley out at least six weeks, the Grizz are left with rookie Wade Baldwin and the unproven Andrew Harrison. Harrison played last year in the D-League and has shown a few flashes this season that he can contribute given extra playing time. He is a good option at this cheap a price, but remember he has been held under 15 fantasy points in three of his last five games. He’ll get the minutes to get around 20 fantasy points a game despite his poor shooting, though, so roll with him if you have to go super-cheap at PG tonight even though he’s sure to be a popular play. ∗∗
