High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (11,900): Harden logged a massive 46 minutes last night in Oakland dragging the Rockets to a big road win with his 29-15-13 for 75.25 fantasy points. He will have a great matchup tonight against Denver who is allowing the most fantasy points per game to opposing SG this season, but there is legitimate concern for a letdown game after last night’s big win. He’s also playing at altitude tonight in Denver where teams can sometimes struggle on the second night of back-to-backs. Last season, Harden averaged “only” 26.0-5.5-5.5 in two games in Denver, so I actually think he’s a high-risk play tonight since he’ll have to do a lot of work (again) to get to full value tonight.

Bradley Beal-Washington Wizards (7,000): Beal has really stepped up lately since returning from his latest injury and has been putting up impressive numbers every game for the Wizards. In his last six games, Beal has four games of 30 points or more with over 40 fantasy points in five of those six contests. He had 31-5-1 in a tough matchup with Victor Oladipo in OKC on Wednesday. Tonight, he and the Wizards will try to knock off the Spurs in San Antonio, and given his recent performances I love Beal at only 7K.

Zach LaVine-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,000): LaVine was a bust on Wednesday with just 22 fantasy points against the Knicks despite playing 42 minutes. Prior to that letdown, LaVine had a monster 28-8-8 game against the Jazz for 51 fantasy points and a 31-3-3 game against the Warriors for 41.75 fantasy points. He is still a boom-or-bust play, but the Knicks are still giving up the fourth-most fantasy points per game to oppsoing SG, so I think he could be set up for a nice bounce back game at Madison Square Garden tonight.

Evan Fournier-Orlando Magic (6,000): Fournier bounced back from a tough night in San Antonio to score 28 points last night against the Grizzlies. He finished with 34 fantasy points on 28-0-4 and continues to be a key part of Orlando’s offense.  He has at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last five including a monster 27-6-7 for 50 fantasy points on Sunday against the Bucks. He brings a ton of upside to the table tonight against Philadelphia who he posted 17-5-5  against earlier this season. If you have to spend 6K on a SG, he’s one of my top picks.
