High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,600): KCP has been excellent lately and is a really nice option with high upside under 6K. He has at least 33 fantasy points in five of his last six games and is combined off back-to-back games with over 40 fantasy points after going for 25-5-4 Wednesday in Boston. Caldwell-Pope is prone to bad burns when he’s off and the game gets one-sided, but he should be a good play tonight in Atlanta in a nice matchup of Eastern Conference playoff hopefuls.∗∗∗

J.J. Redick-Los Angeles Clippers (4,700): Redick continues to be a one-dimensional fantasy option, but it’s hard to argue with the results of posting over 24 fantasy points in three of his last four and at least 21 fantasy points in ten of his last 12. He had 23 points in just 25 minutes last night in Cleveland and finished with 28 fantasy points which is a solid return for such a minimal investment. He should be able to again return value tonight as he faces the Pelicans in New Orleans.

Jamal Murray-Denver Nuggets (4,300): The sharp-shooting rookie should be at home in a matchup against the Rockets and their three-balling ways. Murray has had a couple of down games (17 fantasy points and 19.75 fantasy points) after his run of four straight games with at least 30 fantasy points. He’s a boom-or-bust play tonight, but I love his upside against the Rockets who are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing SG which is the position where Murray plays most of his minutes.

Justin Holiday-New York Knicks (3,600): Holiday could move into the starting lineup for the Knicks tonight with Courtney Lee unlikely to play after rolling his ankle on Wednesday. Holiday had success in his previous trips to the starting lineup, but he only managed 11 fantasy points in 20 minutes on Wednesday. He’s a solid flier, but he isn’t a lock to produce enough fantasy points to be a must-own at a position with so many other solid value plays.
