High Value PG

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (5,400): Mudiay gets a good matchup against the 76ers tonight in the early game, but he has struggled to just 21.75 and 22.5 fantasy points in his last two games. Before that he had a couple of solid outings with 31.25 fantasy points and 32.5 fantasy points, but he is still inconsistent at times. His matchup is good enough to overlook his inconsistency, though, if you need to go below 6K for one of your guard plays tonight.

Sergio Rodriguez-Philadelphia 76ers (5,000): Jerryd Bayless still is dealing with a wrist injury which could allow Rodriguez another start tonight against the Nuggets. Denver is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG, so if Rodriguez starts he’ll be a good play. In the last four games since returning to the lineup, he has posted 29, 28.25, 23.75, and 37.25 fantasy points. His big night came on 15-5-8 against Boston on Saturday and shows he has a nice ceiling if Bayless is again out tonight. Bayless out-∗ Bayless in-

Patrick Beverley-Houston Rockets (4,600): Beverley brings a completely different skillset to the table than Rodriguez, but he should be able to be productive tonight agains the Celtics in a matchup that Rodriguez had success in on Saturday. Beverley has posted over 22 fantasy points in four of his last six games and had a very nice 30.25 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Friday when he finished with 11-3-6, two blocks, and a steal. He’s a safer play than Rodriguez because his minutes are totally secure, but he doesn’t have quite the balanced offensive game the Spanish PG offers. ∗∗

Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz (3,800): George Hill is out again tonight as the Jazz head to LA to face the Lakers. Even though Make hasn’t been getting the starts in his absence, he has been getting a significant bump in minutes and putting up solid numbers. On Thursday, he had 11-4-4 for 26.25 fantasy points against the Heat and followed that with 8-1-4 for 18.75 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Saturday. While he doesn’t have huge upside, he is a good cheap flier if you decide to dive in the the sub-4K regions of the salary structure.

Jerian Grant-Chicago Bulls (3,600): Grant will be a popular but probably productive sleeper play tonight after the Bulls announced they suspended starting PG Rajon Rondo for tonight’s contest against the Blazers. Grant started two games for Rondo when he was injured earlier this season and one of those happened to come against Portland. Brant lit them up for 35.75 fantasy points on 18 points, five steals, three rebounds, and two assists. The next night he only had 17.25 fantasy points in his start so he remains high-risk with a very high-reward ceiling tonight.
