High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (11,800): Harden was impressive throughout the Rockets five-game road trip highlighted by his 29-15-13 triple-double against the Warriors last Thursday. Not surprisingly, he came down from that the next night against the Nuggets with just 40 fantasy points, but he still helped his team get the W. Harden has over 55 fantasy points in six of his last nine games, and he should be in a good place to go off at home against the Celtics who tend to get involved in high-scoring shootouts this season.

Bradley Beal-Washington Wizards (7,000): Beal had an unusual stat line on Friday with 23 points in 30 minutes but not one other non-scoring contribution. He had at least 40 fantasy points in five of his previous six games and was adding nice rebounds and assists. Tonight, he’ll look to get back to that non-scoring production as he takes on the Nets who have been better than many owner realize at limiting opposing SG recently. It’s not as great a matchup as it initially seems, but Beal has been hot enough to give him a long look anyway at 7K. ∗∗

Klay Thompson-Golden State Warriors (6,600): Thompson reached 44 fantasy points for the first time this season on Saturday against the Suns finishing with 26-5-3. He has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four games and seven of his last nine. He has the potential to get 30+ fantasy points again tonight against the up-tempo Pacers who he had 31.25 fantasy points against earlier this season on 25-1-0 and a pair of steals in just 26 minutes. As with all the Warriors, the risk is that the game will be a blowout or another Golden State player does all the work, but Thompson has been pretty steady since an early-season slump and has plenty of potential tonight.

Dwyane Wade-Chicago Bulls (6,500): Wade rested on Saturday against the Mavericks but is expected to return to the lineup for tonight’s game against the dynamic backcourt of the Blazers. When he went head-to-head with Lillard and McCollum out in Portland last month, he finished with 19-5-5 for 38.25 fantasy points. He has at least 32 fantasy points in each of his last five games and he remains very involved when he’s on the court. Returning home to Chicago seems to have given D-Wade a boost, and he’s again a very solid fantasy option tonight against Portland. ∗∗

Avery Bradley-Boston Celtics (6,300): Another option just over 6K who is very involved in his team’s attack is Avery Bradley.  Bradley comes into tonight’s action with at least 33 fantasy points in four of his last five games and 33.75 and 36.25 in his last two contests. He had a solid 20-9-2 with a steal against the Sixers on Saturday, and should be good for at least 35 fantasy points against the Rockets who are allowing the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing SG. Bradley doesn’t have quite the high ceiling that Beal or Thompson have, but he is a little less risky because of the matchup.
