High Value PG

Tyler Johnson-Miami Heat (5,500): With Dion Waiters, Luke Babbitt, Josh Richardson, and James Johnson all out and Rodney McGurder questionable, the Heat will have a seriously limited rotation against Cleveland tonight. Johnson has been playing well in his expanded role lately with over 23 fantasy points in five straight and a monster 40.9 fantasy points in his last game against the Hawks on Wednesday when he had 27-2-5. Johnson will log a lot of minutes tonight at the PG and SG spot and would get plenty of run regardless of game situation. He usually produced solid numbers across multiple categories and should be able to take advantage of the Cavs’ struggling backcourt D.

Marcus Smart-Boston Celtics (5,100): Smart will likely draw the start again for Boston tonight as they take on the Raptors. Isaiah Thomas has already been ruled out, and Smart stepped in last game with 23.1 fantasy points filling in for IT4. He now has at least 19 fantasy points in seven of his last nine games, but he’s still a little boom-or-bust depending on how his game goes on offense. At his best he’s a multi-category contributor, but he’s riskier than Johnson because his minutes are as secure or productive.

Brandon Jennings-New York Knicks (4,800): Jennings got the start for the Knicks on Wednesday in place of the injured Derrick Rose. He played 31 minutes and had 16-4-3 in the rout and finished with 22.3 fantasy points. He has at least 18 fantasy points in three straight and four of his last five, but he can go off with even better numbers if he gets the chance tonight. Reports are that Rose has no structural damage in is back and could return as soon as tonight. If he doesn’t, Jennings will have a ton of upside against the Kings, but if Rose is back Jennings will be much riskier. No Rose-∗ With Rose-

Terry Rozier-Boston Celtics (4,200): The Celtics also got good play from Rozier while Thomas was out on Wednesday, and the former first-round pick will look to pick up more playing time again tonight since Thomas has already been ruled out. Against Orlando, Rozier has 16-5-2 for 27 fantasy points on Wednesday which was a season-high for the former Louisville guard. A lot of that production did come in garbage time, but he should get enough run tonight behind Smart to be a solid option once again at this very affordable price point.

Marcelo Huertas-Los Angles Lakers (3,700): The Lakers are extremely banged up in the backcourt with D’Angelo Russell, Nick Young, and Jose Calderon all out for tongiht’s game against Phoenix. Their injuries and Jordan Clarkson’s struggles have opened the door for Marcelo Huertas to pick up some playing time. Huertas has 28.1 fantasy points on Wednesday on 10-3-7 in a season-high 31 minutes. He could get 20 or so minutes in a good matchup against the Suns tonight which is enough to make him my favorite cheap flier at PG.
