Baylor also got a rare week off, but I still have the Bears dropping just one spot in the rankings because of what Duke did to opponents in Week 5. The Bears still have one of the most impressive list of wins. In fact, they have beaten Oregon, Michigan State, Louisville and Xavier so far this season. They likely won’t lose a game in non-conference play.

Duke had one of the better weeks of any team and that’s why I think the Blue Devils will jump Baylor since the Bears didn’t play a single game. The Blue Devils are looking better and better by the game, beating No. 21 Florida by 10 and UNLV by 49 points. When Duke gets everyone back from injury, the Blue Devils could be the best team by a wide margin in 2016-17.

After losing the season opener against Indiana, the Kansas Jayhawks have been lights out. In fact, they have won nine straight games and their stars are looking fantastic. Frank Mason III and Josh Jackson have both played well through 10 games and they’re only getting better. Wins over UMKC and Nebraska aren’t the most impressive, but the Jayhawks are just taking care of business.

UCLA had the biggest jump of any team in the country last week after beating No. 1 Kentucky on the road. This week, the Bruins had just one game against Michigan and won by 18 points, making it look relatively easy. The Bruins are one of the best scoring teams in the country, but they will need to work on defense moving forward.

Shocker, right? The defending national champs will undoubtedly be ranked No. 1 yet again after reclaiming that top spot last week. Sitting at 10-0 after beating La Salle and No. 23 Notre Dame, the Wildcats look like the same team that won it all last season. It’ll be interesting to see if Villanova can repeat this year.
