7. Outback Bowl (Iowa vs. Florida)

Two teams that haven’t quite lived up to expectations this year are Iowa and Florida, and they’ll be facing off in the Outback Bowl. Its’ not that they were disappointments, but they had high hopes which likely included conference titles in 2016, but they both fell just short.

Last year, the Hawkeyes went 12-0 in the regular season and this year they were just 8-4, missing out on another Big Ten West title. Florida won their division, but fell to Alabama, emphatically, in the SEC Championship. These two teams will be playing for pride and some extra momentum heading into 2017.

The Outback Bowl is one of the more intriguing of the postseason outside of the big ones. It pits the Big Ten vs. SEC and it’s usually a solid, hard-fought and close game. This one should be no different with defensive-minded squads.

The two teams will be rewarded with a solid contest and matchup as well as a nice gift package that will have a majority of postseason participants jealous.

In fact, they will receive a $150 Best Buy gift card, an Outback Steakhouse gift card (obviously), a Jostens ring, Fossil watch and a bowl game hat. The ring is likely commemorating the bowl as well as the hat and the Outback gift card will be perfect for these guys who are sick of campus food.
