High Salary PG

John Wall-Washington Wizards (9,700): Wall was left with little competition for the best top-dollar play of the day with Chris Paul ruled out and with Damian Lillard battling an ankle injury and in a difficult matchup against the Raptors. Wall takes on the Bucks in the first game of the night, so if you like to get out to a fast start give him a look if you can afford him tonight. Wall has five double-doubles in his last six games and has at least 47 fantasy points in four of his last seven. Even if he doesn’t go off, he hardly ever throws up a total dud and has at least 33 fantasy points in every game he has played in December. Tonight against the Bucks, he’s a solid play if you can afford him even though he did have just 35.6 fantasy points on 18-3-10 (points-rebounds-assists) against the Bucks in the same matchup on Friday.∗∗∗

Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,700): If you drop below 9K, there are a few nice PG options to look at starting with Lowry who leads his Raptors to Portland tonight as they continue their trip west. On Friday, Lowry had a huge game with 36-4-5 and two steals for 48.3 fantasy points against the Jazz. He has at least 43.9 fantasy points in four of his last eight games, and if he reaches that number tonight against the Blazers he’ll be a nice value just under 9K. If Lillard is out (as expected but not confirmed), Lowry will get an even more favorable matchup.∗∗∗∗

Jeff Teague-Indiana Pacers (8,200): Teague posted a season-high 31 points to go with eight assists and five rebounds on his way to 47 fantasy points on Thursday in the Pacers last game. After three days off, he’ll look to keep the momentum he had before Christmas sine he had at least 41 fantasy points in five straight contests. Monta Ellis and Rodney Stuckey’s injuries are definitely opening plenty of usage for Teague and the Pacers’ PG is rising to the challenge. Tonight, he faces the Bulls in Chicago as the well-rested Pacers take on the Bulls who lost yesterday in San Antonio. Teague has been a regular in my FanDuel daily picks since Ellis went down, but his price is starting to rise to match his production making him less of a bargain.∗∗

Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (8,000): Walker is in a great matchup tonight as the Hornets roll into Brooklyn tonight to face the Nets. No team in the NBA has been worse at defending opposing PG, and Walker has been playing well as of late. He had a massive 28-8-10 for 49.6 fantasy points against the Lakers last week and also had 18-6-10 on the road in Atlanta. He has a history of enjoying his trips to the Big Apple when he was with UCONN, and he should have another good trip tonight based on his plus matchup.∗∗

Kyrie Irving-Cleveland Cavaliers (7,900): Irving had a huge Christmas playing 44 minutes against the Warriors and tallying 25-6-10 with seven steals for a massive 59.2 fantasy points. He helped my FanDuel daily picks lineup to end up in the top half of every competition and has at least 50 fantasy points in three os his last five games with 39.5 and 45 fantasy points in his other two games since taking that controversial rest day in Memphis. Irving and the Cavs will need to bounce back quick against the Pistons in Detroit tonight. Irving enjoyed the last time these teams met posting 25-2-11 for 45.9 fantasy points back on November 18. He’s a great play again tonight although the Cavs will likely try to limit the minutes of their stars after they played so many hard, competitive minutes against Golden State. ∗∗

Deron Williams-Dallas Mavericks (6,600): No team in the NBA has allowed more fantasy points to opposing PG in their last I’ve games than the Pelicans. Deron Williams and the Mavs visit the Big Easy tonight giving him a great matchup to attack. He has at least 29 fantasy points in each of his last three games and four of his last five. He’s posted ta least seven assists in four of his last five games while adding double-digit scoring in almost every game. Williams hasn’t really gone off in any contest this year limiting his ceiling, but he has a good enough matchup to be a safe play tonight.∗∗

Jeremy Lin-Brooklyn Nets (6,400): Lin will have his former team tonight as the Hornets come to Brooklyn to face the Nets. After getting the weekend to rest , he’ll look to show them what they didn’t re-sign this past offseason. Lin is still working his way back from a groin injury that sidelined him for almost six weeks. He looked great last Thursday against the Warriors with 10-8-11 for 39.1 fantasy points but the following night could only manage 10-2-6 for 18.4 fantasy points against the Cavs on the second half of a brutal back-to-back. Tonight, he should be rested and ready for Charlotte, and I think he’ll return solid value getting at least 30 fantasy points. ∗∗
