High Value PG

Emmanuel Mudiay-Denver Nuggets (5,000): Of all the PG under 6K, Mudiay has one of the highest upsides since he’ll get the start tonight as the Nuggets host the Kings. Mudiay had a down night last night agains the Warriors with just 17.4 fantasy points on 8-2-4 in 31 minutes, but he had a big night with 36.3 fantasy points against the Sixers  when he had 22-4-5 last Friday. Mudiay is high-risk, high-reward as he is most nights when the Nuggets host Sacramento tonight.∗∗

T.J. McConnell-Philadelphia 76ers (4,600): With Sergio Rodriguez doubtful, it looks like McConnell will get another start tonight as the Sixers host Ricky Rubio and the Timberwolves. McConnell has been excellent in his last two starts with 29.4 fantasy points on Friday with 17-2-8 against the Nuggets and 40.5 fantasy points back on December 11 when he had 12-10-9 in a spot start against Detroit. The 76ers have also won both games he has started, and he hopefully is earning more playing time as he grows in confidence in the starting role. Tonight, he’s a great value play at home against Minnesota.∗∗∗∗

Shelvin Mack-Utah Jazz (4,200): The Jazz are still short on PG options as they roll into  Boston tonight with Dante Exum and George Hill out for tonight’s contest and Alec Burks still playing very limited minutes. Mack played 32 minutes as a result last night against the Nets and finished with 15-2-2 and three steals for 25.4 fantasy points. He definitely has the potential to out-produce his price point, and maybe facing former Butler coach Brad Stevens will bring out the best in Mack in tonight’s matchup in Boston.∗∗

Cory Joseph-Toronto Raptors (4,000): Joseph isn’t a starter like Mack or  McConnell, but he has been getting good run off the Raptors’ bench lately with at least 25 minutes in each of Toronto’s last two games. Tonight, he should be extra motivated as he takes on his former team in San Antonio, so look for Joseph to be a solid cheap play along with the other starters stepping up tonight.∗∗

Aaron Brooks-Indiana Pacers (3,600): Brooks could end up being the best cheap option at PG tonight if Jeff Teague is unable to go in Detroit tonight. Brooks has already been picking up time with injuries to Rodney Stuckey and Monta Ellis, and he could be in for lots of run at PG if Teague can’t play through his sprained ankle. Brooks had 14-2-2 for 21.4 fantasy points in 18 minutes on Sunday against the Magic and had 33.3 fantasy points last Monday against the Bulls on 19-4-7. He has plenty of upside if he gets more playing time tonight making him the most attractive option under 4K.∗∗
