Gabriel Landeskog has been drawing interest from the Los Angeles Kings, according to Adrian Dater.

The Colorado Avalanche have expressed a willingness to trade just about anyone. Yes, this includes their captain Gabriel Landeskog. He has drawn some interest from the Boston Bruins, but they aren’t the only team interested in him. According to Bleacher Report NHL columnist Adrian Dater, the Los Angeles Kings have shown heavy interest in the two-way forward.

Landeskog would be a great fit for the Kings. He’d basically be what they were hoping to get from Dustin Brown. Not only is he strong defensively, Landeskog is always a threat to put up 50 points a season. The Kings weren’t able to keep Milan Lucic, who proved to be a great fit alongside Anze Kopitar. Landeskog could immediately step in and solve the issue for the foreseeable future.

However, getting him won’t be cheap. The Avalanche reportedly are searching for defense in exchange for him. They won’t get a young defenseman, largely because due to the Kings’ cap situation, they need to move some salary. Alec Martinez could be an option. However, one can assume Jake Muzzin is off the table. If the Avalanche want him, they’d have to make it a one for one deal.

Landeskog is having a down year with just seven goals and 13 points in his first 29 games. However, it’s worth noting the Avalanche have scored just 79 goals all season, the fewest in the NHL. Over his career, Landeskog has 107 goals and 152 assists for 259 points in 385 games. He averages 0.67 points per game.

In the playoffs, Landeskog doesn’t have much experience. However, he did have three goals and four points in his lone postseason series back in 2013-14. With the Kings slowly falling in the Pacific Division standings, they might be willing to pay the hefty price necessary to get Landeskog.
