High Value PG

Rajon Rondo-Chicago Bulls (5,000): Rondo was released from exile with all the Bulls’ injuries on Tuesday. In a game where Chicago didn’t have Jimmy Butler, Dwyane Wade, or Nikola Mirotic, Rondo came off the bench as a productive sixth-man and had 12-4-6 with three steals for 31 fantasy points against the Wizards. What role that earns Rondo moving forward is still unclear, although with Butler and Mirotic still out tonight, I think he makes a good play with a high ceiling against the Knicks. He’s risky due to his volatility and his undefined role, but he has high upside for a player under 6K.∗∗

Tony Parker-San Antonio Spurs (4,700): Parker bounced back from a down game with a solid 14-3-7 against the Bucks on Tuesday totaling 29.25 fantasy points which gives him over 28 fantasy points in five of his last six contests. His burns can be bad (like the 10 fantasy points he posted Saturday), but the veteran continues to produce good stat lines more often than not and is out-performing his salary on a regular basis lately. Parker is in a great matchup against the Lakers’ backcourt tonight, making him a very nice option under 5K.∗∗∗∗

J.J. Barea-Dallas Mavericks (3,800): Barea is still just finding his rhythm after an extended injury absence, but he continues to be a great fit for the Mavs and will have a big role going forward. He returned with 22.5 fantasy points against the Hawks last Saturday, but he disappointed with just 8.0 fantasy points on Monday as he returned to Minnesota. Barea is high-risk, high-reward as the Mavs hit Mexico.

Spencer Dinwiddie-Brooklyn Nets (3,500): The Nets will once again be without Jeremy Lin tonight meaning the PG minutes will be split between Isaiah Whitehead and Spencer Dinwiddie. Of the two, Dinwiddie has the more productive fantasy potential. He has at least 19.9 fantasy points in three of his last four games with his only down game being the one he started against Cleveland. Since he returned to the bench with 9-3-3 for 20.75 fantasy points and 4-7-5 for 21.25 fantasy points in his last two games, he can be used as a cheap flier although his upside is much more limited than Parker or Rondo’s.∗∗
