High Value PG

Marcus Smart-Boston Celtics (5,500): With so many options over 6K at PG tonight, the options get a little scarce on the value side of things. If you need a mid-range play who has been pretty reliable lately, check out Marcus Smart of the Celtics who is averaging 28.3 fantasy points per game over the last ten days while helping Boston cover with Avery Bradley out. Saturday wasn’t great for Smart who had just 21.5 fantasy points against the Bucks, but he had posted 26-36 fantasy points in his previous five games. If he continues to get good playing time with the starting unit, he’ll a low-risk, low-ceiling option, but if Bradley returns his role could be reduced. No AB-∗∗ With Bradley-∗∗

Spencer Dinwiddie-Brooklyn Nets (3,600): If you are looking ultra-cheap there are a couple of options to check out tonight. The first is the current Nets PG Spencer Dinwiddie who has scored at least 10 points in four straight games and five of his last six. He has at least 22 fantasy points in three of his last four and is coming off his best game in his recent stretch which resulted in 27 fantasy points on 13-4-5 against the T-Wolves. That’s a great return on such a cheap salary, and he’ll be a solid play if he starts again tonight against the Heat who he had 10-5-4 against last week for 22.25 fantasy points.

Yogi Ferrell-Dallas Mavericks (3,500): The other cheap option is the Nets’ former PG Yogi Ferrell. Ferrell is helping fill in for Dallas who is without both J.J. Barea and Deron Williams for tonight’s game against Cleveland. In his first game with Dallas, Ferrell started and played 36 minutes totaling 9-2-7 and 26.5 fantasy points. He’s a little riskier than Dinwiddie only because he has less of a track record and is playing the second night in a row as the Mavs host the Cavs.∗∗
