High Salary PG

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (10,000): Thomas has been excellent lately and has at least 44 fantasy points in six of his last seven games. He is coming off a game with 51.6 fantasy points on 37-3-8 (points-rebounds-assists) while playing 41 minutes on the second night of a back-to-back in Milwaukee. IT4 takes on the Pistons tonight who have allowed the second-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG over their last five games. Thomas had 24-4-8 and 27-0-4 in his two meetings with them at the end of November, but his price tag tonight makes him a little bit risky since he’ll need to have a huge game to be worth five figures.∗∗

Kyrie Irving-Cleveland Cavaliers (8,600): Irving has posted at least 42 fantasy points in four of his last five games after putting together a strong 29-3-10 last night against the Thunder. Irving’s 47.6 fantasy points were his best since last Monday when he went off for 49-2-4 agains the Pelicans for 63.4 fantasy points. Irving and LeBron James could get a boost to their already-high usage with Kevin Love out tonight, so look for Kyrie to post big numbers for as long as Love is sidelined. The matchup tonight isn’t a great one since Dallas allows the fewest fantasy points to opposing PG, but Irving’s recent form has been good enough to roll with him in spite of that.∗∗

Goran Dragic-Miami Heat (7,800): Dragic gets the matchup on the opposite end of the spectrum tonight as he and the Heat host the Nets who have been the most generous team in the NBA to opposing PG. Dragic comes in on quite a roll with over 38 fantasy points in four of his last seven games. He had a huge game in Chicago on Friday whit 26-5-11 for 49.5 fantasy points and followed that with a solid Saturday performance of 23-2-4 for 31.4 fantasy points against the Pistons. Dragic has an extremely high ceiling tonight, but he could lose a little bit of time and usage to Tyler Johnson who is expected to return after a five game absence. The risk of a blowout is real, but the matchup is too good to ignore.∗∗∗∗

Reggie Jackson-Detroit Pistons (6,600): Jackson will take on Isaiah Thomas and the Celtics tonight, and he’s my pick from the three starting PG around this price point. R-Jax has at least 32 fantasy pointsin four straight games after posting 24-7-3 against the Heat for 32.9 fantasy points on Saturday. He had fewer points but more assists in his two previous games with 18-3-11 and 19-3-8 against the Kings and Wizards. He should be able to produce tonight against Boston in his first game against them this season since he was injured for the teams’ first two meetings.∗∗
