FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 31
High Salary PG
Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,700): I love Westbrook and Wall, but they’re both risky since they have to do so much to be worth their price tonight and they’re not the top big-ticket players I would target given their relative production per dollar. That being said, either could go huge and carry your team to victory. For me, I prefer to go a little cheaper at PG especially since there is actually a lot of depth at the spot tonight.
Lowry is coming off a strong game against Orlando on Sunday when he posted 33-5-8 (points-rebounds-assists) for 49 fantasy points. He has at least 44 fantasy points in each of his last three games and at least 39 fantasy points in eight of his last 13. He should be able to get at least that many tonight against the Pelicans who are the third-worst team in the NBA this season at limiting opposing PG’s. ∗∗∗∗
Kemba Walker-Charlotte Hornets (8,300): Walker and the Hornets take on the Blazers in Portland tonight in one of the later games out West. Two weeks ago, Kemba hd 23-2-5 against the Blazers for 37.9 fantasy points. He has been even better since then with over 42 fantasy points in four of his six games since. Coming off of 26-3-7 for 42.1 fantasy points against the Kings, Walker is a great play to check out tonight as the Hornets visit Damian Lillard and the Blazers in what should be a high-scoring contest. ∗∗
Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (7,800): Another PG who is settling in to a big role is Jrue Holiday of the Pelicans. He has put together matching scored of 47.3 fantasy points in his last two games with 26-4-11 against Washington and 23-4-11 against the Spurs. Those two incredible performances cap a great homestand for Holiday in which he had three games in his last four over 45 fantasy points and five of his last six over 34 fantasy points. He struggled badly in his last two road games (10.4 fantasy points and 20.6 fantasy points) which came in mid-January, but he and the Pels are on the road tonight as they roll into Toronto. He’s a good play because of recent form, but he’s also risky due to the matchup and location.∗∗
