DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 3
High Salary SG
James Harden-Houston Rockets (12,500): Harden shook off two-game mini-slump and went off for 41-8-8 last night against the Hawks piling up a massive 71.5 fantasy points. He has at least 62 fantasy points in five of his last ten games and needs to be around that number again tonight to be worth his big-ticket salary. Tonight, Harden and Houston will try to bounce back after a tough loss last night as they face the Bulls. On any given night, “The Beard” can carry your fantasy team, but he’s also a huge investment that needs to come through for you to have a chance if you drop this kind of salary into him.∗∗
C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,200): The Blazers backcourt has been sharing work pretty well since Damian Lillard’s return. McCollum has at least 33 fantasy points in four of his last five games dating back to his huge game in Boston when he had 35-2-3 for49.5 fantasy points. In his last two games, McCollum had 28-7-3 for 43.75 fantasy points against the Warriors on Sunday and 18-2-4 for 33 fantasy points against the Hornets on Tuesday. He’s a little risky at this price, but I do like his upside against the Mavs who usually shut down opposing PG relatively well but sometimes struggle with two-guards.∗∗
Dwyane Wade-Chicago Bulls (7,000): Based on his matchup, I actually like Wade a little better than McCollum tonight since the Rockets have been shredded by opposing SG most of the season. Tim Hardaway Jr. was the most recent example in his huge game last night which helped to power my DraftKings daily picks to a good finish. Wade comes into the same matchup with good momentum since he has over 34 fantasy points five of his last six games including his 18-7-7 in just 24 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday when he dropped 41.25 fantasy points. Since he didn’t have to play a ton of minutes, Wade should be well enough rested to take advantage of the Rockets fourth-worst SG defense in the NBA.∗∗∗
Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (6,800): Booker has now extended his streak of 20+ point games to 14 after his 20-6-4 for 36 fantasy points against the Clippers on Wednesday. In his last few games, Booker is picking up some solid non-scoring numbers as well and continues to get a ton of shots every game for Phoenix. Tonight, he’s in a matchup almost as good as Wade’s as he faces the Kings who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game this season to opposing SG. I see Booker as lower-risk than Wade or McCollum and since he costs less I actually like him more.∗∗∗∗
