FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 6
High Salary PG
Eric Bledsoe, PHO at NO ($9300): Bledsoe is averaging 26.5 points, 7.3 assists, 5.1 boards, 1.0 steals, 0.3 blocks and 3.5 steals over his last 11 games, but has a few down games mixed in with the dominant. His last outing, on Saturday, was a pedestrian 13 points, six assists, four boards effort with six turnovers against the Bucks. It was the second half of a back-to-back, though, so perhaps fatigue was involved. On Monday, he has an excellent match-up against the Pelicans, who have given up the third-most fantasy points to point guards in the FanDuel system. ****
Kyle Lowry, TOR vs LAC ($9000): Lowry played on Sunday despite having had to miss Saturday’s practice due to an illness that had also visibly affected him on Friday. His jumper was off on Sunday, but he did turn in a 15 points, 11 rebounds, 11 assists triple-double in 39 minutes of action against the Nets. With health a question mark, Lowry’s availability for Monday should be confirmed. But if he does play, he has a great match-up against a Clippers team that has struggled defensively at the point since Chris Paul went down to the tune of allowing the most fantasy points to point guards in the NBA over the last five games. ***
Jrue Holiday, NO vs PHO ($8000): Holiday has five double-doubles in his last seven games, a stretch over which he is averaging 23 points, 8.9 assists, 4.4 boards, 2.0 steals, 1.1 blocks and 3.9 turnovers. He switched it up in his last game against the Wizards, turning in a points-rebounds double-double as opposed to his usual points-assists approach. On Monday he will face a Suns defense that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to point guards on the season, but the fourth-most over the last five games. *****
D’Angelo Russell, LAL at NY ($6500): Russell has averaged a strong 19.7 points, 9.0 assists, 6.7 boards, 1.3 steals, 1.0 blocks and 3.7 turnovers in the three games since he has returned from injury. He had been playing well early in January before the injury, averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 boards, 5.0 assists, 2.2 combined blocks/steals and only 1.4 turnovers in the first five games of the month. Russell will look to continue his evolution towards becoming the next great Lakers guard on Monday against a Knicks defense that held him in check the last time they played but that has been a fairly average 12th in the NBA in point guard defense on the season. ****
