4. Chicago Bears

The Bears finished 2016 with a record of 3-13. This was due to the fact that they were without a quarterback the entire season.

Jay Cutler missed time due to injury and that forced Brian Hoyer into the starting role. Once Hoyer went down, the keys were given to Matt Barkley and that spelled trouble in Chicago.

The main focus of the Bears right now is what to do with the third-overall pick in this year’s draft, along with re-signing stud receiver Alshon Jeffery. But as we all know, a quarterback is needed to win in this league. The team is preparing to move on from Cutler, leaving them empty at the quarterback position.

It would be wise to not draft a quarterback with the third-overall pick considering the class. With players like Jeffery, Kevin White and tight end Zach Miller, they need someone who can get these guys the ball. Their running game is set with Jordan Howard and Jeremy Langford, so a signal-caller is a must.

While Young may not be the sexy choice, there are not many options out there. At the number three spot in the draft, they have potential to pick up a guy like Jonathan Allen who can help build their defense. It would be smart to stay away from a quarterback who will need time to develop.

Young can come in with knowledge of the game and the league. With skill position players like the Bears have, all he would have to do is not turn the ball over.
