Vince Young has an interest in returning to the NFL. Here are five teams that should give it some thought.

Vince Young was drafted third-overall in the 2006 NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans. He spent five seasons in Tennessee where he threw 42 touchdowns to go along with 42 interceptions.

What’s usually forgotten is that Young is that in his five seasons as a starter, he had a 30-17 record and was named to two Pro Bowls.

The 33-year-old made a name for himself in college where he tore up the field as a member of the Texas Longhorns. In 2005, Young finished second in the Heisman voting. That same year, he led Texas to a National Championships in one of the best college football games ever.

Now, the former Texas great has hired an agent in hopes of returning to play the game he loves. Young was last seen as a backup quarterback on the Philadelphia Eagles. He had a few opportunities that included the Bills, Browns and Packers but nothing ever panned out.

While Young is considered a bust in every form of the word, there might be a few teams out there that would consider giving him a chance for a low price.

5. Houston Texans

The Texans finished yet another season with a 9-7 record and won the AFC South by default. They beat the Raiders in a game that Derek Carr was not playing in due to injury, and it still wasn’t a convincing win.

The Texans overpaid last offseason for a quarterback who had minimal experience starting in the NFL in Brock Osweiler. He looked like a guy who had never started in the league and played like it for most of the season. He was even benched for Tom Savage at one point.

Osweiler became very unpopular in Houston because of his turnover issues and inability to get on the same page as one of the league’s top receivers in DeAndre Hopkins.

The Houston defense played very well towards the end of the season, even with J.J. Watt missing significant time. This was due to the fact that Jadeveon Clowney took the next step in becoming a dominant defensive player. With a defense like this, fans in Houston expect this team to win more then nine games.

Maybe they need a new face running the show.

The Texans spent a boatload of money on Osweiler last year and that is something they have to live with. It wouldn’t be crazy to think about dumping Osweiler and picking up a veteran who has Pro Bowl experience and a drive to play again. Plus, it would be for a cheap price.

Now, don’t expect this to happen. Because of the money he is getting, Osweiler will be under center for Houston next season but at the first sign of trouble, the team and fans might turn on him. When that happens, who would you rather have: Savage or Vince Young?
