Tennessee Titans: 5 offseason needs
4. Tight End
The Titans have Delanie Walker. However, the Titans tend to run a two tight end, power set more than most teams in today’s NFL. Phillip Supernaw and Anthony Fasano are free agents, and both played major roles in the Titans success this season.
If neither, or even just one of those tight ends is to return, the Titans should be looking to upgrade. Jack Doyle becomes an interesting discussion here. He would not only add to the Titans, he would take away from a division rival, the Colts. He is a solid overall blocker and could help Marcus Mariota with his hands and his blocking.
The Titans also have two first round picks. They wouldn’t address the need with the fifth overall pick, but it is not out of the question at No. 18. Walker is a free agent in 2018, and this class of tight ends appears to be a lot more top-heavy than any other year. O.J. Howard appears to be one of the most complete tight end prospects in the past decade. If he is around it may be tough for the Titans to pass on that luxury, and have a guy locked in for the next four or five years.
