NFL Combine 2017: 10 biggest storylines
6. What can TJ Watt do at the combine?
We know about his brother’s exploits on the field but TJ Watt is a mystery to the many of the college and pro fans that saw very little or not much of Wisconsin at all in 2016. After leaving a year earlier that most expected, Watt’s 2016 was capped off with a second team All-American appearance and first team All-Big Ten.
Let’s just get one thing out of the way right now, he’s not his brother so don’t expect him to be anywhere close to JJ. However, he does show good promise and would boost his draft stock with a solid combine showing.
5. Jordan Willis from Kansas State, my breakout guy from the 2017 combine
One of the best raw talents in the 2017 NFL Draft class is Jordan Willis from Kansas State. A great edge rusher, the senior has put together a solid few seasons going up against some of the best offensive lineman in the Big 12. Willis had a great showing at the Senior Bowl as he was named the South’s Most Outstanding Player.
Expect Willis to continue the trend heading into the combine, his overall speed and pass rushing skills will be on display and should find his way onto a few first round mocks when he leaves Indy.
