3. RT Ricky Wagner

Wagner had a nice 2016 at right tackle for the Baltimore Ravens, finishing as the 18th-ranked offensive tackle by Pro Football Focus and ninth at the position in pass protection. He was also Pro Football Focus’ No. 1 right tackle back in 2014.

All indications are the Ravens won’t be able to re-sign Wagner, and he apparently “rebuffed” their initial contract offer. Wanting to become one of the highest-paid right tackles in the league may be Wagner’s desire, which would not be a shock. The contract Mitchell Schwartz signed with the Kansas City Chiefs last offseason (five years, $33 million; $15 million guaranteed) possibly stands as a good ballpark for Wagner’s free agent deal.

The Vikings have starting jobs to fill at up to four offensive line spots, so any and all options need to be exhausted. If Wagner’s doesn’t take himself out of a reasonable contract range, which may be dictated by a very thin overall tackle market, the fit is clear for Minnesota.
