RAW Tag Team Championship Match

Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows (c) vs. Enzo Amore & Big Cass

What we learned: All we really learned here is that Enzo Amore can take a beating and that Big Cass needs to get as far away from him as he possibly can. Outside of the hot tag at the end, Cass was barely in this match at all as Gallows and Anderson isolated Enzo and took it to him for most of this one, which makes the tag that he got back from Cass a little silly. But he needed to be the legal man to protect Cass from taking the loss here, so I get that. And I did like the finish. Gallows shoving Enzo’s foot of off the bottom rope was a great heel move and one we haven’t seen in a while so at least there was that. But that was about it for this match. Like the match before it, I was expecting a little bit more from this one and just never ended up getting it.

What’s next: Given the screwy finish, we’re likely headed toward another match between these two at some point. There was a quick moment in the match when I actually thought for just a minute that Enzo and Cass might pull it off, but given their popularity with the crowd, perhaps they’re saving the big moment for WrestleMania. Personally, I think Cass just needs to break away from Enzo and do the singles thing, which would allow Amore to bring some of his personal popularity to the cruiserweight division, but that probably won’t happen anytime soon. The tag division needs a lot of help on Monday nights and you can only run through matches like this for so long until people start to get upset.
