Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax

What we learned: We learned that Nia Jax is beatable and I really liked how they pulled this off, even if it was a little predictable.

The match went about as I expected it to. Nia dominated Sasha at the Royal Rumble and it looked as if things were going to go the same way this time around. Jax showed off her power early and often with a nice toss of Banks across the ring and a pretty solid torture rack, which Sasha turned into a nice little guillotine before being slammed back down. The Boss fought back once again and locked in the Banks Statement, but Nia fought out of that and hit a big spinebuster and a leg drop only to let her arrogance get the better of her. Sasha was able to capitalize and get a surprise victory. Sure, this match was a little slow at points, but at least they had the crowd with them and they told a nice story in the ring. The big vs. little story has been done a million times but this was pretty effective and made both women look strong.

What’s next: It’s pretty clear to see that we’re heading toward a Fatal Four-Way at WrestleMania and this was a great way to keep that momentum going. Sasha picked up a nice win and proved that she can beat Nia in a one-on-one scenario, and Nia once again looked very strong and will be in a foul mood coming off this loss — certainly be looking for revenge tonight on RAW. She’s already gotten in Bayley’s face about coming for the title and will likely take out her frustration on everybody in the upcoming weeks. This was all done perfectly.
