4. Defensive versatility

Bouye has been knocked as being a potential one-year wonder in free agency. However, while he did only start 19 games in his career, 11 coming in 2016, he showed a variety of talent in that time.

One thing to look at with Bouye is his footwork. He has quick feet and has taken snaps in the slot to get on the field. He will likely be an outside cornerback for the Jaguars but he brings versatility. The big thing that made Jalen Ramsey a top five pick in 2015 was his versatility. Many did not know if Ramsey was a safety or a cornerback, and he had played in the slot as well. Having these two talents in the same secondary brings a lot to the table.

The Jaguars can decide to have them follow around certain players who fit their skill set. They can also opt to have the play sides, and see bits of either team’s wide receivers. They can both play zone, and man and both have a strong ability to avoid being beat deep.

Not often do teams get to play chess in the secondary, but the Jaguars should be unpredictable thanks to the scheme diversity that their two cornerbacks bring.
