High Value PG

Jordan Clarkson – Los Angeles Lakers ($5500): Clarkson made ten percent of DFS players very happy last night when he went off for 52.5 FP against the Sixers. Clarkson has seen his playing time increase a lot since the trade of Lou Williams to Houston. He’s played 30 or more minutes in five of his last six games, and he might even have a better matchup tonight than he did yesterday. He gets the Nuggets tonight, a team that might be without starting point guard Jameer Nelson. 50 FP is too much to ask for, but Clarkson is a decent play to hit value, and if he gets the shots to fall again a big night is possible.

Patty Mills – San Antonio Spurs ($4400): Tony Parker and Dejounte Murray are out again tonight, so Pop will again give Mills the keys to the Spurs’ offense. It worked out well Saturday night against the Warriors when Mills had 33.5 FP in just 21 minutes played. Tonight he goes up against an Atlanta team that has allowed the 8th-most fantasy points to point guards this season. The Spurs will be without Parker, Murray, Aldridge, and maybe Kawhi Leonard. Mills will get his shots tonight.

Tyreke Evans – Sacramento Kings ($5400): Whether Evans plays the point or small forward is basically irrelevant tonight because the Magic defense is bad no matter the position. Reke already smoked them once this season for 38 FP in just 19 minutes played. He’s averaged 30 FP over his last three games, and the big game is coming sooner or later. Even if it doesn’t come tonight, Reke is active in most categories so he’ll be close to value against a bad Magic team.

J.J. Barea – Dallas Mavericks ($3300): Barea has been back for two games now, and he would have hit value last night if he shot a bit better than 2-9 from the field. The Mavs are pushing hard for a playoff spot and you have to wonder when Barea will start cutting into Yogi Ferrell’s minutes. Carlisle simply loves Barea running the show, and if his wind is up to speed we could see him get 20 minutes or more soon. Barea is unique in that he can put up fantasy points in a hurry, and at $3300 I’ll be taking some chances on him tonight.
