NBA Tank Rankings: Why won’t it stop?
1. Los Angeles Lakers
Hahahahahahaha
Hahaha
Oh man.
In the battle of losing to bad teams, Los Angeles is doing the relative best. The last five games have involved losses to the Mavericks, Pelicans, and 76ers. These teams are a combined 40 games under .500. If the Lakers play their cards right, they hope to be their themselves by the end of the year. Their one blemish is the aforementioned victory against the Suns, but no one is perfect, but one can
Another thing worth mentioning is that the really bad teams lose the games they’re supposed to lose. True to form, they took a strong 20 point loss to the Celtics. A 28 point loss to the Nuggets isn’t too shabby either. It’s an adequate amount of shab.
The Lakers can do it all. They can look bad against any team in any style of play. Do you want to instill bad habits in your young players? Giving up 129 on the road to a borderline playoff team can do that. Want to bring in some veteran leadership to be the cornerstone of your losing effort? Corey Brewer will slot right in, play a 17 minutes, and be a solid -24.

Maybe that’s not enough, though. Maybe you need some off-the-court distraction to really pull everything together. It really doesn’t get much better than a bunch of rich siblings fighting in court over who exactly should be the first one to the lifeboat. It’s hard to pick one thing that’s going right, and that’s exactly the right way to go.
This No. 1 spot was earned. I’d be proud.
