High Value C

Jonas Valanciunas – Toronto Raptors ($5000): Valanciunas has seen decreased minutes since Serge Ibaka came to the team, but he has been able to burst out occasionally for 30+ FP games. Generally speaking the Bulls are decent defensively against opposing centers, but I like Valanciunas tonight in a game where someone other than DeRozan will have to provide some offense. He’s had more 30+ FP games than not in March and while there are a lot of good centers on the board tonight, Valanciunas makes for an intriguing option at $5K.

Pau Gasol – San Antonio Spurs ($5500): Gasol can have a high ceiling from time to time, and he’s had 37.75 FP or more in two of his last four games. The Timberwolves do not defend well against bigs. Pau hasn’t had the best games against Minnesota this season, but I still like him in limited exposure tonight.

Gorgui Dieng – Minnesota Timberwolves ($5000): As I mentioned earlier, Thibs loves to play Gorgui heavy minutes against teams that play big, and the Spurs do with Pau Gasol, Aldridge, and Dedmon. In three games against the Spurs this season Dieng has averaged just under 33 minutes and just over 34 FP per game. If he gets 30+ minutes tonight he’ll hit value or better.

Noah Vonleh – Portland Trailblazers ($3500): Vonleh has shown some promise recently with both Moe Harkless and Al-Farouq Aminu underperforming. He’s had 22.75 FP or more in three straight games and didn’t play less than 26 minutes in any of them. Milwaukee is not good defensively against bigs and they certainly don’t rebound well. At just $3500 Vonleh seems like an excellent value play tonight, especially if Giannis is out.
