High Salary C

Marc Gasol – Memphis Grizzlies ($7500): Gasol has simply wrecked the Pelicans this year, averaging 53 FP against them over three games. He’s also had two full days off, so I expect a huge game from him tonight. There are many good centers to choose from tonight, but I will have Gasol in a bunch of lineups.

James Johnson – Miami Heat ($6300): This section is going to look a lot like the high-priced power forwards section, with three of those players also eligible at center. As I said earlier, I love JJ when Dion Waiters is out of the lineup and it wasn’t a surprise to me that he’s gone off for over 83 FP over his last two games. Tonight he gets the Phoenix Suns and I’m loving JJ in a stack with Dragic and perhaps some other Heat players.

Blake Griffin – Los Angeles Clippers ($8000):
Griffin always seems to throttle the Lakers. He did play last night but he actually has a better shooting percentage and more points per game on the second half of back to back games. Did I mention he also gets the Lakers tonight? Blowout potential looms, but I still will have some Blake in my lineups. The matchup is just too juicy.

Hassan Whiteside – Miami Heat ($8500): The price is a bit steep but Whiteside at home is always a solid play. He’s been steadily pumping out 40+ and 50+ FP games for weeks and tonight has a tasty, high scoring matchup against Phoenix. I mentioned I like a Dragic/James Johnson stack, and I’ll add Whiteside to some of those.

Dirk Nowitzki – Dallas Mavericks ($6200): As I mentioned earlier, Dirk had a lousy game against the Dubs earlier in the season, but that was back in December before he got into the swing of things. It’s a tough matchup tonight against Golden State but if Dirk gets his 15 to 17 shots he should be able to hit value. I expect around 35 for the big man tonight.

Too many centers tonight. Andre Drummond and Jusuf Nurkic have amazing matchups, as does DeAndre Jordan.
