3. Really anything Will Muschamp overreacts to (it will happen)

2017 will be the second year of the Will Muschamp era in South Carolina football. The emotional South Carolina head coach did a remarkable job of taking a bad team and making them bowl eligible in year one. One could argue it was one of his more impressive seasons as a college head coach.

While there should be nothing for Muschamp to fret over in a glorified scrimmage, there will be officials in Columbia to call the game. Muschamp is a fierce competitor, so maybe he will have something to say to an official or two if one part of his team gets hosed on a call.

Though we’re not going to see Muschamp go ballistic on the South Carolina sidelines in a spring game, he’s always on the verge of bursting a blood vessel with his intense passion for coaching. Viewers never know when the volcano will erupt, but Mount Boom will eventually do its thing.

Even if Muschamp doesn’t get too fired up in this spring game, it will be interesting to see his emotions on the SEC Network telecast; he wears them on his sleeve. They could be indicative of how his team could be this fall. A poised Muschamp on April Fools’ Day could foreshadow a great year for Gamecock football.
