3. Kevin Knox, SF, No. 8

Kevin Knox is a 6-foot-9 combo forward out of Tampa, FL who is being pursued by plenty of big names. As of now, Knox is considering Duke, Florida State, Kentucky and North Carolina, but with the recent addition of Michael Porter Jr., Missouri has also started to chase the five-star talent. Knox had previously been targeting mid-April as a decision date with the Blue Devils currently listed as the favorite, according to 247 Sports.

In a sport that is down-sizing at the power forward spot, there’s a lot to like about Knox’s potential. He has the size and athleticism to guard multiple positions, competes well and could be the next versatile defender to make an impact at both the college and professional levels. His ability to rebound and take the ball up the court shouldn’t be overlooked. Being a so-called “tweener” in the past might have been detrimental for Knox, but the modern game necessitates players like him.

His offensive game, though, needs some work as he’s mostly an energy scorer right now who is going to get points in transition, on cuts or on putbacks. The key to his development will be shoring up his 3-point shooting, which would allow him to space the floor as a power forward and open up his versatility even more.
