New order, new destinations. This is our latest mock 2017 NBA Draft.

NBA Draft declarations continued to roll in this week. Duke’s Harry Giles was arguably the most interesting one as Giles struggled for the Blue Devils this season as he worked to recover from multiple knee surgeries. Giles is as talented as any other player in this class, but where he’ll ultimately land will depend as much on his performance during medical tests as anything.

As usual, our draft order has been decided based on the projected outcomes from FiveThirtyEight (current as of March 28). No changes have been made to the order of the lottery.

Here’s the latest look at how the draft might shake out.

Markelle Fultz

PG, Washington

Despite Lonzo Ball’s proclamations that he’s better than Markelle Fultz, the Washington guard continues to sit atop these mock drafts as he’s done since the beginning of the season. Fultz has tremendous upside as a lead guard who could change a franchise, which is why the Boston Celtics should take a swing at him here with the Brooklyn Nets No. 1 pick despite having other guards on their roster.

Fultz is capable of scoring from all three levels of the floor. He has the quickness to get to the rim and the athleticism to finish above it when he gets there. He can shoot it off the dribble in the mid-range, making it tougher for teams to cover him in pick-and-roll. Plus, we was a capable 3-point shooter this season, making 41.3 percent of his 3s on 5.0 attempts per game. Fultz can also create for his teammates. He averaged 6.6 assists per minutes for Washington this season.

Defensively, Fultz has his problems, namely not paying enough attention off the ball, but he was one of just four freshmen guards in the country to average more than one steal and one block per game this season.
