Jimmy Butler rocks eye patch after Bulls victory over Cavaliers

The Bulls beat the Cavaliers Thursday night, keeping them in the playoff hunt. Star swingman Jimmy Butler had some fun after the game.
The Chicago Bulls hosted the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, and looked to be in trouble midway through the first half when Jimmy Butler left the game with an eye injury. Thankfully for the Bulls, Butler returned and played well. He turned in 25 points, six rebounds and five assists, and helped slow down LeBron James. Additionally, Nikola Mirotic scored 28 points and Rajon Rondo added a 7-9-15 stat line in Chicago’s victory.
Butler had a little bit of fun with his injury after the game.
As it turns out, Butler’s eye is not an issue and the eye patch was a just a joke. Bulls fans, terrified of facial appendages after Derrick Rose played poorly with a mask and Richard Hamilton flopped with his time in Chicago, won’t have to worry.
The Bulls extended one of the weirdest winning streaks in the NBA Thursday night. They have now won 20 straight home games that are broadcast nationally on TNT. Chicago’s streak goes back to the 2012-2013 season, when LeBron’s Heat knocked them off.
Additionally, Chicago stays within striking distance of a playoff spot in the East with this victory. They are only one game back of the eighth-seeded Pacers. Both franchises have failed to reach expectations this year and haven’t played great down the stretch. The Bulls could possibly get Dwyane Wade back for the playoffs, however, so they could be a tough out if they make it.

Cleveland takes another loss in March. They are now 5-10 during the month and have completely lose their lead in the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers now hold the two seed; tonight’s loss moved the Celtics into first place. They are 8-11 since Kyrie Irving said that the earth is flat, which is obviously to blame for their issues recently.
