 Second Base

High Salary Option

Rougned Odor $3300 – Jesse Chavez has allowed a .351 batting average against left handed batters and is facing a tough offensive squad in the Texas Rangers. Odor has three home runs on the season already, including six runs batted in and five runs scored. His 13.43 fantasy points per game should be reason enough to insert him into your lineup this evening. ****

High Value Option

Joe Panik $2600 – I am surprised that Panik’s salary has not gone up after his recent performances at the plate. He is batting .346 on the year with three runs batted in and six runs scored. He is still averaging 10.46 fantasy points per game, which is more than Brian Dozier, Jose Altuve, and Robinson Cano, just to name a few. His production so far has been tremendous and he gets a favorable matchup today against righty Shelby Miller and his 5.06 earned run average. ***

Shortstop

High Salary Option

Trevor Story $4100 – Story is off to a slow start this season, only hitting .143 with four runs scored and averaging 6.09 fantasy points per game. However, he got a day off for rest yesterday and has the a fantastic matchup at home in Colorado. Story should be rested and refreshed, and I have a gut feeling his slow start will come to an end today with his first home run of the season. **

High Value Option

Tim Beckham $2000 – The shortstop position has not provided any clear top options today, so I would suggest saving the salary for other positions and only paying for the minimum today. Beckham has started off the season slowly, batting just .125 with two runs scored. However, he finds himself in a favorable matchup today against the Yankees left hander Jordan Montgomery and getting two days of rest in the last three. He should be refreshed and ready to roll today. ***
