Cam Robinson

Offensive Tackle, Alabama Crimson Tide

Remember when the 2013 NFL Draft was supposed to be the offensive line drafts of offensive line drafts? Well, that proved to be a massive lie. Thanks to that atrocious football draft, it has given us some perspective about how to go about taking linemen in the first round.

Most kids entering the NFL Draft haven’t played in a pro-style system in college. Even if a kid did, who’s to say that he’s going to be able to figure it out up front. The NFL players collectively bargained for fewer padded practices and we’re left with abysmal offensive line play.

That being said, there are a few players up front that are deserving of going in the first round. Perhaps the most promising offensive line prospect in this draft is Alabama Crimson Tide left tackle Cam Robinson. He could be a steal for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at No. 19.

Robinson has a questionable motor and are we sure he loves football? However, Tampa Bay needs help up front to unlock the finer nuances of the Dirk Koetter Air Coryell. Playing for a good team right away in Tampa Bay might be the best thing for Robinson in his early NFL career.
