Will the Montreal Canadiens bounce back after a Game 1 loss to the New York Rangers? Here’s how you can watch Game 2.

Game 1 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs didn’t go as planned for the Montreal Canadiens. Their offense didn’t show up and the New York Rangers beat them 2-0. The Habs now trail 1-0 in their first round series. Montreal will get a chance to rebound on Friday in Game 2.

Led by their speedy offense, the Rangers made the Habs look quite silly. They got both of their goals from unexpected sources — Tanner Glass scored just his second career playoff goal in over 60 games. Henrik Lundqvist was very sharp in net, especially in the first period. Brady Skjei was their best defender. Meanwhile, Jesper Fast quietly had the lone assist in the game. Michael Grabner iced the game with an empty net goal in the third period. The Rangers have to be happy with their performance. Even in a worst case scenario, they’ll leave Montreal with the series tied at one game each.

On the other side of the ice, Carey Price was great, but there wasn’t much else to speak of from the Canadiens. He stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced and couldn’t have done much better. Montreal’s offense put 31 shots on net, but very few of them were dangerous. They must get better shots from closer to the crease. Montreal had trouble against the Rangers speed, which is a bit concerning.

Game 2 is a must win for Montreal. They can’t afford to go into Madison Square Garden down 2-0 in the series. Meanwhile, the Rangers are playing with house money at this point. All of the pressure is on Montreal right now.
