Nashville is coming off a four-game sweep of the Blackhawks. They beat them with an opportunistic offense and phenomenal goaltending from Pekka Rinne. The latter has been a pleasant surprise thus far in the playoffs. Nashville’s defense, led by Roman Josi and P.K. Subban, held Chicago to just three goals in the first round.

On the other side of the ice, the Blues beat the Wild in five games. Much like the Predators, St. Louis got impressive goaltending from Jake Allen. He had arguably the best five game stretch of his career and it couldn’t have come at a better time. Vladimir Tarasenko played a huge role in the upset as well. Under head coach Mike Yeo, St. Louis has been playing phenomenally.
