Bournemouth: Ryan Fraser

Bournemouth have demonstrated again this season they can compete at the top level without a host of stars. The Cherries had a troublesome period after Christmas which they overcame and barring something ridiculous they will play in the Premier League next year.

What’s more impressive is that Eddie Howe has managed to do this with a squad severely lacking in star players. Every Premier League team has a difference maker and for Bournemouth this was Matt Ritchie — until he went to play for Newcastle. Howe never quite replaced Ritchie which meant that the rest of the team had to pick up the slack.

A player who has done that this season for Bournemouth is Ryan Fraser. Fraser didn’t feature in the Premier League last season as he was on loan at Ipswich. However, he’s grabbed his opportunity with both hands this season making 24 appearances in the Premier League.

Despite his small stature, Fraser’s quick feet and pace make him a menace for opposition defenses. He also brings goals to the side and his scored in big games against Arsenal and Liverpool. These impressive performances also led to his first senior call-up to the Scotland squad, although he didn’t earn a cap because of injury.

If Fraser continues on this path then he will only get better and he could make a move away to a bigger club.
