The Premier League has some huge stars but not every player is appreciated. We’ve picked out the most underrated player from every Premier League club.

Every year the Premier League has a wide array of soccer’s biggest stars on show. Each of the league’s 20 teams has a wealth of talent. However, more often than not praise falls upon a team’s bigger players and the lesser names fail to get recognition for their hard work.

This list is about these players. For every club we’ve picked out an underrated player we feel deserves more recognition for the performances they’ve put in this season.

Arsenal: Nacho Monreal

Arsenal have had a very typical season by their own standards. They were knocked out of the Champions League in the second round, they’ve lacked consistency in the Premier League but they’re also in the FA Cup Final.

One player who has played well for Arsenal throughout this turbulent season is Nacho Monreal. The Spaniard fought off competition from Kieran Gibbs to make the starting left-back role his and he’s not looked back since. Although he’s certainly not the most capable left-back in the league he has performed consistently well in a team that desperately lacks this attribute.

Perhaps most impressively, Monreal has developed his attacking game which makes him a much more attractive prospect to the forward-thinking Arsene Wenger.

He has improved upon his link up play  by forming a good partnership with Alexis Sanchez over the course of the season which has given him a greater desire to get forward. This improvement is best demonstrated by the left-back’s deadly finish in the FA Cup semifinal at the weekend, which helped Arsenal to triumph over Manchester City.
