3. Logan Morrison

The Rays have scuffled to start the year, and they are always a team willing to consider making a deal as the season stretches on. They shuffle veterans around looking to auction their valuable trade chips off for younger, cheaper prospects. One of the chips this year could be first baseman Logan Morrison.

The 29-year-old first baseman is in his second season with the Rays and is not signed beyond this season, making him a good candidate to be traded if the team does not climb back into playoff contention. For his career, Morrison is a .245/.326/.417 hitter with the potential to hit 15-20 home runs a season. He is best when used in a platoon, but would offer more offensive potential than James Loney, the all-defense first baseman the Mets plugged in last year when Lucas Duda was injured.

Obviously, acquiring Logan Morrison would not really move the needle too much for Mets fans, but options are limited right now while the standings remain bunched up around the league. Another power bat that could become available is Brandon Moss. Danny Valencia is another solid platoon bat to consider, as are Steve Pearce and Justin Smoak. All of those names could become available. Flashy? Probably not, but certainly more likely to produce in the big leagues than Tim Tebow.
