God of War for the PlayStation 4 was revealed at E3 last year. We haven’t heard much of it since, but it looks like it may have a release date.

There’s no denying just how successful the PlayStation 4 has been so far. In just four months into 2017, we’ve seen games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Nioh, Nier: Automata and Persona 5. The best part is that there are still plenty of other games to look forward to, most of them exclusively on the PS4. One of those is God of War. If a Portuguese game retailer, Gaming Replay, is telling the truth, then a release date for the game has been confirmed.

As of right now, this is just a huge rumor. It’s better to just wait for an official announcement. However, based on the release date, it does make a lot of sense. Currently, the rumored release date is Sep. 14, 2017, which raises a lot of questions. For one, like we said, the PS4 is on a hot streak right now because of its games. This would only further expand the extensive catalog of great games it already has. 2017 may go down as the best year for this console.

September is only a few months away, which means that we won’t have to wait long to play one of our most anticipated games of the year. If we want an official announcement anytime soon, we’ll probably have to wait till E3 in June. We’re sure that this will be one of the highlights of the show, without a doubt.

Other games we’re looking forward to include Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man. With these three games set to release on exclusively on the PS4, the best time to own this console is right now. We have a busy year ahead of us if everything goes the way we want it to.
