NBA All-Time Mock Draft: Which NBA legends would get picked by teams right now?

18. Indiana — Clyde Drexler
The Indiana Pacers are desperately trying to convince Paul George he should stick around and not bolt to Los Angeles sometime over the next two years. One way to convince PG-13 to stick around going forward is pairing him with Clyde Drexler, who fits perfectly in Indiana.
Right now Indiana’s biggest hole is at the shooting guard position. With Jeff Teague, George, Thaddeus Young and Myles Turner, the Pacers are set at point guard, center and the forward spots with at least solid players.
The shooting guard spot has been more up in the air. Monta Ellis, C.J. Miles and Glenn Robinson split the starts at two guard this past season, but none of them are getting any starts while Indiana has Clyde the Glide at its disposal.
Clyde averaged 20.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 2.0 steals per game in his NBA career. He got 10 All-Star nods and placed on five All-NBA teams, and Drexler got himself a ring in 1995 with Hakeem on the Houston Rockets.
Getting past LeBron James isn’t easy no matter what, but having another bonafide star in Indiana might finally get the Pacers over the hump. At the very least, selling Paul George on forming a dynamic duo with another great wing player is easier than selling him on a hodgepodge of guards alongside him.
Another positive about Drexler is that although he didn’t shoot well early in his career, he ended up becoming a proficient 3-point threat in the latter half of his career. In his Houston years, Clyde made 33.9 percent of nearly four attempted 3s per game, meaning he should be able to provide some threat from downtown for the Pacers.
