1. Boston (From Brooklyn) — Michael Jordan

Was there really another option for the Celtics with the first overall pick? Sure, they could use a big man who can hang on the boards right now. But it’s pretty hard to draft for fit when Michael freaking Jordan is on the board.

In addition to MJ probably being the greatest of all time, this pick is great because it means fans finally get to see Jordan versus LeBron. Watching the Jordan-era Celtics might make Chicago Bulls fans sick, but that’s what they get for not being good or having a good draft pick at the moment.

Obvious questions, such as ‘Can Isaiah Thomas and Michael Jordan play together,’ are worthless here. It’s Michael Jordan. As good as IT is, if he has to come off of the bench he has to come off of the bench. His Airness isn’t going to adapt his game to anybody.

Jordan, in his career with the Bulls, averaged 31.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 2.5 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. He won six titles, hitting countless incredible and memorable shots along the way. In addition to on-the-court performance, drafting Jordan is the best possible business move.

Imagine Jordan debuting new Air Jordans during the season in 2017. The social media buzz around His Airness would be incredible. Maybe, just maybe, Michael Jordan could even wrestle headlines away from LaVar Ball.
